Throughout November, December and January, will be presenting a series of film screenings in the North West celebrating the greatest movies of the last decade. On Thursday December 5th, we'll be hosting a screening of Hayao Miyazaki's farewell masterpiece 'The Wind Rises'. Set during WW2, the film explores the real-life plight of Jiro Horikoshi who was conflicted about whether he should pursue his dream of making airplanes knowing it might facilitate violence, destruction and death. This beautiful meditation on the difficult choices an artist has to face is a fitting swan song to an amazing career and it deserves to be seen on the big screen.
