How dangerous is Uganda for LGBT people? At 8pm in the bar of the Cambridge ArtsPicturehouse legal and human rights experts will discuss not only how dangerous it is for LGBT people living in Uganda, but also how the Home Office culture of disbelief puts LGBT asylum seekers at risk including by detaining vulnerable LGBT people. Speakers will be Aisha Shuamazzi, an LGBT+ asylum seeker from Uganda and Veronique Mottier, a Fellow of Jesus College, Cambridge and a Professor at the University of Lausanne; she is an expert on the politics of gender and sexuality.
